Activate UAN

  • Via UMANG App (Recommended):
  • Step 1: Download UMANG App from Play Store / App Store
  • Step 2: Search "EPFO" → Select "Member UAN Services"
  • Step 3: Tap "Activate UAN" → Enter UAN, Name, DOB, Aadhaar, Mobile
  • Step 4: Validate via OTP → Set password → UAN Activated ✅
  • Web alternative: unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in
UMANG Website / App Web Portal
UMANG app provides seamless UAN activation, KYC, balance check & claim status.

Form 16 (Tax Verification)

  • Step 1: Login to Income Tax e-Filing portal
  • Step 2: Open AIS (Annual Information Statement)
  • Step 3: Match TDS details with your Form 16
  • Step 4: Download Form 16 for verification

Check PF Balance

  • Missed Call: Give missed call to 9966044425 from registered mobile → SMS with balance
  • Online (Passbook): Login to Member Passbook portal → View balance & transactions
  • UMANG App: EPFO service → "Balance/Passbook" option
Access PF Passbook / Balance
Missed call works only if UAN is activated & mobile linked.

Download Passbook

  • Step 1: Login to EPFO Member Passbook Portal (UAN + password)
  • Step 2: Select your EPF account / Member ID
  • Step 3: Click "Download Passbook" → PDF with all contributions
Download Full Passbook
Passbook shows monthly employer & employee contribution.

Update KYC

  • Step 1: Login to Unified Member Portal or UMANG app (EPFO)
  • Step 2: Go to 'KYC' section (menu)
  • Step 3: Add Aadhaar, PAN, Bank Account, and Nominee details
  • Step 4: Submit for employer approval (status reflects online)
Update KYC Online
Mandatory for withdrawal, transfer, and claim settlement.

Projects for CV / Portfolio

  • Step 1: Explore projects based on your domain (IT, Data, Marketing, etc.)
  • Step 2: Download or review project source code / case study
  • Step 3: Customize project (add your name, modify features, improve UI)
